Conditions of Entry


1. Entries must be submitted on DVD. It is in the best interests of the entrant to submit the best possible quality copy of their film.

2. If entering more than one film, please submit them on separate tapes.

3. Label the tape and tape cover clearly with the film's title and the director's name.

4. Entries must not exceed 7 minutes in length, including titles and credits.

5. All entrants must have received copyright clearance for any audio or visual material they may have obtained from external sources. The Sarnia Short Film Festival reserves the right to request a viewing of such clearances, and to exclude any entry which has not obtained the appropriate clearances.

6. Please  ensure that the film's audio is not distorted in any way or inaudible, and that there aren't any loud audio 'spikes' at any point in the soundtrack.

7. Whilst all due care will be taken with the entries, the Sarnia Short Film Festival will not take responsibility for lost or damaged work. It is advised that entrants not submit the original, master or only copy of their film. Submitted tapes will not be returned.

8. The Sarnia Short Film Festival reserves the right to use scenes (with or without original audio) and/or stills from its entries for promotional and media purposes.

9. Due to the 'all ages' nature of this event, The Sarnia Short Film Festival reserves the right to decline submissions based on content and subject matter.
